He advised private companies and government officials on energy related infrastructure projects across Sub-Sahara Africa. The following are some of his selected recent accomplishments: • The development of a Crude Oil Refinery in the Republic of Gabon with a Chinese engineering and construction company in the amount of $235 Million USD; • Coordinated, negotiated and executed the supply of 300 units of Diesel Generator valued at $16.6 Million USD to the Zambia Government; • Introduction of China Machinery Engineering Corp. to the Bauchi State Government on a 200 MW Gas power plant project; and • Negotiated and implemented the financing of an Engineering, Procurement and Constructions (EPC) contract in the amount of $220 Million USD. Patrick Glemaud, JD Associate Counsel Experience in providing legal services to public and private sector entities on corporate commercial law matters from formation, procurement, financing, corporate governance, indigenous law, interpreting legislation and government policies and practices within the energy and mining sector. The private companies operate in Canada, the U.S. and Sub-Sahara Africa. Recent experience included assisting the Government of the Republic of Chad for the financing and construction of an oil refinery and asphalt plant in the republic of Chad, being built by a Chinese engineering and construction company in the amount of US $549 Million. In general, work in this area included: • Participating in the negotiations and preparing all corporate and commercial documents for the chartering of oil tankers for the loading and delivery of "Clean Petroleum Products " by an UK company listed on the London Stock Exchange. • Overseeing the acquisition of an OTCB listed company by an energy company via a friendly take-over. • Negotiating and drafting services agreement between a major coal-fired power plant in Washington State and a Canadian company for the provision of mercury emissions control technology. • Advising on the corporate finance structure and reviewing financing documents from institutional investors for the financing of P3 energy projects. • Advising in the drafting of RFP documents, advising on the selection process and closing transactions for large scale construction projects.
